Buyers Laboratory has chosen two Canon products for top honours in its 2016 awards
Canon has announced that Buyers Laboratory Inc, a US-based, independent office products testing facility, has awarded two of its products with coveted awards for 2016.
The two products are Canon’s imageRUNNER Advance C3320 Series, which won the “pick” prize for “Outstanding 20-ppm A3 Colour MFP”, and the Canon imageRUNNER Advance C5250, which won “2016 A3 MFP Line of the Year”.
Speaking about the C3320 Series, UK Lab Manager Martin Soane said: “Its impressive reliability performance, complemented by new and improved procedures for replacing the toner, waste toner and drums, means that downtime should be minimal.”
“It also offers the comprehensive set of security features we’ve come to expect from Canon. Users are also getting a device they can count on for consistent printed colour output from start to finish, and crisp text, broad greyscale range and dark solids in black mode to more than meet the needs of general office environments.”
“Canon offers consistently outstanding products across its entire A3 line in nearly every speed band,” BLI Editor George Mikolay said, while discussing the A3 MFP Line of the Year award. “From its exceptional reliability and ease of use, to its innovation and customizability, Canon’s A3 line is the industry benchmark among its competitors.”
BLI Director of Research & Lab Services Pete Emory pointed out that “To run a combined total of 2,885,000 impressions with just 11 misfeeds recorded is remarkable. In fact, with just one misfeed every 262,272 impressions, Canon has the highest number of impressions between misfeeds of all of the OEMs, a truly remarkable feat.”
“BLI’s awards stand alone in that they are based on a rigorous battery of lab tests that takes approximately two months to complete,” BLI said in a statement. “The evaluation includes an extensive durability test, during a portion of which each unit is run at the manufacturer’s maximum duty cycle. BLI’s durability test is unique among office product evaluations and uniquely qualifies BLI to assess reliability, a critical factor for buyers and IT directors.”
